Our First 100 HomesKauai Habitat for Humanity celebrated the completion of its 100th home at a dedication ceremony Thursday, February 5, 2009, in Ele'ele and vowed to build the next 100 homes in half the time.

Kauai Habitat’s first 100 homes were built at many locations around the island. Plans for the next 100 homes include locations in Ele’ele and Hanapepe, and potential locations in Wailua, Kapaa, and Anahola.

September 11, 1992	Hurricane Iniki strikes Kauai, destroying thousands of homes and damaging many more.
December 21, 1992	Kauai Habitat for Humanity incorporated

1994	13 homes completed

1997	12 homes completed
1998	6 homes completed; acquired 24 acres in Ele'ele
2001	5 homes completed
